Here’s something a student told us about their experience in the classroom:
“I have been managing NetScalers for years and left off with version 9.6. I didn’t expect to get much other then a refresher course from this training. I was pleasantly surprised when our extremely knowledgeable instructor took us on the NetScaler journey. I told my co-worker this was the best training I’ve attended in the last 14 years of my career.”

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that we’re showing off a very positive review. You wouldn’t be totally wrong, because positive feedback and knowing we successfully enabled one of our students will always be something that we’re proud of. However, we’re always looking to improve our classroom experience, and one particular line presented itself as an opportunity:
“I didn’t expect to get much other then a refresher course from this training”
Whoa! While we’re glad this ultimately ended up being the best training this student attended in years, we want our students to have high expectations for our classes and to hold us to those high expectations.
So, what to do about it?
If you’re a regular reader of this blog, or follow Citrix Education on Facebook or Twitter, you’ll know that we’ve begun to offer free course preview webinars led by our course architects. There are three goals with these webinars:
- Set expectations with potential students about course content
- Introduce you to the course architects so you can understand their background and approach to developing content
- Make you smarter!
We’ve held two webinars so far, with hundreds of attendees taking part. You can access recordings of these webinars if you’re thinking about taking one of the courses:
We’re also releasing a new version of one of our most popular courses, CNS-207, with NetScaler 11 content. This course will be held exclusively at the Citrix Learning Center when released. New content included in the course includes:
- Integrating NetScaler Gateway with other resources (Unified Gateway)
- Gateway with WebFront
We want everyone thinking about attending this course to know exactly what it’s about, so architect Howard Weise will host a course preview webinar on October 27th at 12 PM EDT. You can register for the free webinar here.
Webinar attendees will also find out about a special offer for anyone attending the five-day CNS-207 class.
