You own your data.

Meshblu devices contain lots of valuable data. Often times, you may want to analyze to discover interesting, meaningful patterns to better inform how you can react, plan, or predict. Before we analyze, however, we must first store our data. Octoblu’s new Forwarder application enables you to forward your Meshblu data to data stores such as Mongo, Elastic, TempoIQ, or Splunk.

But, why?

Analyzing your devices’ data from Octoblu not only assists with prediction but also helps discover trends. For example, if connected sensors monitor your truck fleet, over time you can more accurately predict when certain trucks need an oil change or tire replacement. By forwarding your sensor data to a data store, you’re well on your way to predictive analytics, which can prevent costly maintenance and other liabilities.

Let’s give it a try

We plan to support many data stores, but we have initially launched the Forwarder with Splunk support. So let’s get set-up and try using Octoblu’s new Forwarder.
First, you’ll need the following:

Now that you have everything you’ll need to get started, our video will guide you through forwarding device data to Splunk.
