This week at Intel Developer Forum #IDF15 in San Francisco, Citrix and Intel will highlight our expanded partnership with a number of new technology demonstrations.

Citrix Mobile Workspaces leadership will be on full display with Citrix solutions featuring Intel technology across cloud and the data center, Internet of Things and networking. In addition to having Citrix experts showing the delivering of rich graphics apps and data to innovative Intel end points such as Intel Compute Stick, new enterprise class Chromebooks and Intel NUCs.

Citrix will be showing technology in Citrix Booth #661 in addition to being invited to showcase technology solutions in the Network Builders Community, Booth #156, and the flagship Intel Software Pavilion

Internet of Things – Introduced on stage at Synergy15, Intel and Citrix continue to partner and amplify our leadership in enabling the Internet of Things for the Enterprise. In the middle of the Intel Software Pavilion, Citrix will demonstrate Octoblu running on the Intel IOT Gateway and discuss new use cases such as the retail experience of the future and the future smart office. Citrix IOT Director Chris Matthieu will be speaking at the Intel Networking Plaza in the middle of the expo hall on Wed Aug 19 at 6:30pm.

Cloud and Security – Citrix has been working with Intel for several years on different projects in support of Intel Trusted Execution Technology (TXT) and is pleased this year to be showcasing secure virtual machines combined with OpenStack clouds in delivering secure workloads to enterprise customers.  Below is a summary on our cloud and security solutions, but read Marc Trouard-Riolle’s excellent IDF15 blog for much more insight and detail.

Highlighting Citrix commitment to OpenStack and the cloud ecosystem, Citrix will be demoing a simple, secure and scalable cloud demo with Citrix XenServer, Intel Trusted Execution Technology (TXT) and Mirantis OpenStack. Allowing enterprises to enable the easy deployment of a secure OpenStack cloud.

XenServer will also be shown running 3D Virtual graphics on Intel GVT-g with the newest Intel Xeon E3 with Iris Pro graphics to accelerate the graphics of multiple VMs. Enabling graphics-intensive applications in VMs without requiring additional hardware. Enterprise customers benefit with smaller server footprints, less infrastructure cost and lower cooling requirements.

Networking – In the Intel Network Builders Community, Citrix will be highlighting our Intel Xeon-based portfolio of NetScaler SDX solutions. Solving the problem of virtual ADC management for automated networks and data centers requires fleet management of ADCs. And at IDF15, Citrix will show a new demo with the NetScaler Control Center as a network services controller and NetScaler VPX as virtual ADCs for data center and network core deployments.

Enterprise Graphics Virtualization – Intel and Citrix continue to innovate in the delivery of rich apps and graphics to a variety of users from graphic designers to business professionals. We will be demoing on the new SuperMicro 6U server, introduced last week at Siggraph, running graphic workloads to innovative Intel end points. Enabling unmatched density, performance and cost efficiency in enabling the delivery of rich apps and data. The XenServer optimized, Intel Xeon E3 with Iris Pro graphics embedded in the Intel m710 platform, initially offered with HP Moonshot and now from SuperMicro, was fully developed on Xen and works exclusively with enterprise customers via Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop.

Innovative Intel Clients – Citrix will feature XenServer and XenApp on an array of Innovative Intel End Point Devices. Citrix XenServer utilizes Intel’s GVT-g virtualized graphics on Intel Broadwell processors with Iris Pro graphics to accelerate the graphics of multiple VMs. Enabling graphics-intensive applications in VMs without requiring additional hardware. Enterprise customers benefit with smaller server footprints, less infrastructure cost and lower cooling requirements.

Chrome in the Enterprise  – Citrix will also feature demos showcasing the newest Citrix Receiver for Chrome on Citrix Ready, Dell Enterprise class Chromebooks, including the new Dell  Intel Core i5 announced last week by Google and Dell. In addition to our expanding partnership with Google, Citrix and Intel continue to work together to bring enterprise users the best app and desktop virtualization experience on the newest Intel-based Core devices

IDF15 once again promises to be a ground breaking and exciting week publicly showcasing the strong technology partnership with Intel demonstrating Citrix leadership across Mobile Workspaces. We invite our partners, enterprise customers and industry followers in the Bay Area this week to visit #IDF15 at the Moscone West to see an array of technology solutions and to talk with Citrix experts across networking, cloud, Internet of Things and mobile workspaces.
