Every year, top technology companies compete for a LEADERS spot in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant reports to showcase their completeness of vision and ability to execute.

Citrix is honored to be recognized as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrants for Enterprise Mobility Management and Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing.

The latest reports were issued by Gartner in June and July of 2015.
According to Gartner, “LEADERS provide mature offerings that meet market demand. They have demonstrated the vision necessary to sustain their market positions as requirements evolve. The hallmark of LEADERS is that they focus and invest in their offerings to lead the market and affect its overall direction. LEADERS can be the vendors to watch as you try to understand how new offerings might evolve. LEADERS typically respond to a wide market audience by supporting broad market requirements. However, they may fail to meet the specific needs of vertical markets or other more specialized segments.

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant provides a graphical competitive positioning of four types of technology providers, in markets where growth is high and provider differentiation is distinct:

  1. LEADERS execute well against their current vision and are well positioned for tomorrow.
  2. VISONARIES understand where the market is going or have a vision for changing market rules, but do not yet execute well.
  3. NICHE PLAYERS focus successfully on a small segment, or are unfocused and do not out-innovate or outperform others.
  4. CHALLENGERS execute well today or may dominate a large segment, but do not demonstrate an understanding of market direction.

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Mobility Management Suites Report1

For the fourth consecutive year, Citrix is positioned as a LEADER in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) Suites 2015 report once again with its XenMobile solution. We believe XenMobile is a comprehensive solution to manage mobile devices, apps, and data. Users have single-click access to all of their mobile, SaaS and Windows apps from a unified corporate app store, including seamlessly-integrated email, browser, data sharing and support apps. IT gains control over mobile devices with full configuration, security, provisioning and support capabilities. Flexible deployment options give IT the choice to manage XenMobile in the cloud or on-premises.  XenMobile delivers mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM) and enterprise-grade productivity apps in one comprehensive solution. XenMobile enhances the user experience on BYO or corporate devices without compromising security.

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing Report2

Citrix is also placed as a LEADER in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing (EFSS) 2015 report, for the second consecutive time.  ShareFile, a secure data sync and sharing service with flexible storage options, allows IT to mobilize enterprise data, whether it is on-prem, in the cloud, or both. ShareFile enables mobile productivity with read-write access to data, workflows and collaboration, allows users to securely share files with anyone, and sync files across all of their devices. With ShareFile, IT gains the flexibility to store data in the most optimal locations to meet compliance and data sovereignty requirements and provide mobile access to network shares, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business and any ECM system. ShareFile delivers an intuitive experience for users, while providing IT with security and control.

Citrix is the only company to be named a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrants for Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) Suites, Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing and Application Delivery Controllers. The company’s consistent innovation and strong focus on providing an integrated user experience for all apps – Windows, Web, SaaS and mobile – make Citrix an excellent fit for organizations looking to deliver mobile access to apps and data for anytime, anywhere experiences.

Why is EMM and EFSS so important to enterprises?

Today’s mobile workforce depends on the ability to work and collaborate anywhere, with seamless access to all the resources their work involves—including both apps and data—on any device they use. For IT, the challenge is to provide this access while maintaining security and control. While mobile device management (MDM) helps you secure devices, it’s only part of the solution; complete mobile productivity also requires secure mobile email and the ability to access, sync and share data on any device people use.

Citrix addresses the secure mobile data access challenge with Citrix XenMobile offering single-click access to mobile, web, data center and Windows apps from a unified app store, including integrated productivity apps with a great user experience. IT gains identity-based provisioning and control of apps, data and devices, automatic account de-provisioning for terminated users and selective wipe of lost devices.  Application-level controls include data encryption, password authentication, secure lock and wipe, inter-app policies and micro app VPNs. XenMobile also provides business-grade secure email, browser and calendar apps to avoid the security gaps that can be introduced by consumer-grade apps.

Citrix addresses secure sync and sharing of data requirements with Citrix ShareFile, it provides the ability to share data with anyone and sync data across all of their devices.  ShareFile seamlessly integrates with workflow tools such as Outlook and RightSignature and provides a rich user experience on any device to enhance productivity. Unlike consumer file sync and sharing tools, ShareFile provides management and control functionality that allows IT to deliver a secure service and store enterprise data in optimal locations to meet corporate data policies and compliance requirements.

Both products are available together as part of the XenMobile Enterprise license. These products let people sync, share, open and edit data in corporate apps on any device they use while IT maintains security and control. To understand the value of the combined solutions, consider that email is the number one mobile app.  Most mobile users will either receive or send files.  Rather than waiting for long downloads of email file attachments, users can simply click on a ShareFile link embedded in their email that takes them to the file stored securely on prem, your private cloud, or the ShareFile secure hosted cloud.  Not only does is this more convenient for the mobile user, it’s also more secure than using native email and a public file sharing service. Learn more why these two products are “better together.”

Citrix ShareFile is also available as a standalone enterprise file sync and sharing solution that delivers advanced security features and flexible storage options (on-premises, in-the-cloud, or a hybrid of both).
