Citrix Specialization benefits Atea’s business and employees

Want to turn up the heat with new business opportunities and set yourself apart?

Follow the lead set by Platinum Citrix Solution Advisor Atea, who quickly jumped at the opportunity to employ Citrix Specialist designations to forward the interests of their customers and business.

A natural fit for a market leader

“When Specialist was launched, it felt natural to make sure we were first in our market to achieve this new designation in all competencies, since we already considered Atea to be the market-leading partner,” said Peter Gustafsson, Atea’s Citrix alliance manager. “We got started immediately with all four.”

“As a result, Atea is the first Specialist partner in Mobility Management in the entire Nordics. We followed that achievement up by being the first Nordic partner designated in Networking for App & Mobile Strategy. We have also earned specialization in Virtualization and are working on Networking for Data Center.”

Atea, an Oslo, Norway-based organization with 6,500 employees across 90 cities in the Nordic and Baltic regions, supplies IT infrastructure and system integration services to the public sector and private enterprises.

The company is already a major player in mobile hardware – it resells Apple and Samsung devices and Windows Phones – and offers a range of implementation and support services.

Now, with its Specialist designation in Mobility Management, Atea is even better positioned to meet customer requirements for solutions to manage and secure mobile devices and apps.

Specializations on trend

“We’re seeing a trend toward supplying corporate-owned devices to employees rather than simply accepting BYO devices in the workplace,” he said. “Even public sector organizations such as municipalities and schools are providing smartphones and tablets to their workforce.”

When Atea initiates and drives a mobility engagement, its proposed solution often features Citrix XenMobile Enterprise and Citrix NetScaler. “We are seeing good success with XenMobile, both for new mobility projects and enhancements to existing Citrix environments,” Gustafsson noted.

External and internal value of specialization

For Atea, a major part of the value Specialist brings is greater competitive advantage.

“We were already strong in these Citrix technology areas but had no formal way to prove our competencies to customers and the market until Specialist launched. Now, we are not just a Platinum partner – we are a designated Citrix Specialist partner in three key areas and a fourth on the way.”

“We believe the branding and access to information and support will make our business more competitive and profitable.”

Tangible business benefits

In addition, Citrix Specialization delivers tremendous ROI to our partners’ organization, as well as staff. There are tangible business benefits that extend to Atea’s employees who have completed the rigorous Specialist requirements, including becoming certified, taking e-learning courses and successfully completing the demanding practicum.

“We have heavily publicized these employee achievements internally. Our employees take great pride in their skills, and this formal designation will enable them to market themselves to customers as technical experts. We also believe specialization will drive greater employee satisfaction, retention and loyalty.”

Step up to Specialist

Atea’s partnership with Citrix is highly valued. Having multiple Citrix Specializations will surely distinguish them as a highly qualified, best-in-class partner and offer them additional benefits and incremental financial rewards as a Specialist partner.

I encourage other partners to start your specialization journey.
