UK Citrix User Group Event in Newcastle April 2015Andrew Wood (@gilwood_cs) , CTP (Citrix Technology Professional) has announced on behalf of the UK Citrix User Group Organising Committee – a call for speakers and registrations for the group’s next meeting in London.

Many of us from Citrix attend these user group events to meet real users and get feedback into what our priorities for support, product features and documentation should be.

Below is Andrew’s announcement for this independent event, which is open to all of those interested in Citrix products  – it’s FREE!!!:

Citrix can only deliver great products with input from you, the users. One of the important Citrix Synergy announcements was the Citrix User Group Community (CUGC), a community of technology professionals.

The ethos of the community is to be the voice of Citrix technology users and managers, dedicated to helping members and their businesses excel through education, knowledge sharing, networking and influence.

The CUGC looks to network local user groups together. Here in the UK, Citrix UK User Group has been active for over four years with approximately 200 members. As well as Forums on the CUGC and LinkedIn, they hold four events each year at locations up and down the UK. You can read about past events on their website.

See you there

These events typically cover a wide range of Citrix products including HDX technologies, XenApp, XenDesktop, Netscaler, PVS, Sharefile etc… As well as a wide range of partner products and technologies from Microsoft, VMware and OEM partners such as Cisco, IBM, NVIDIA.

I had a great time at the UK Citrix User Group event in Newcastle in April, meeting users and learning from the fantastic “Bring Your Own” sessions. I’m looking forward to more great presentations in London on the 25th of June, hopefully I will see you there!

The next meeting is on 25th June 2015 at Novotel London Blackfriars. Come along to the free, all-day event to hear the sessions or you can submit your own.

If you can’t make this event though do sign up to the groups mailing list for early notification on future events. If you’d like to know more, you can read reviews of past meetings, here.

If that wasn’t enough!

From fellow CTP, Neil Spellings @neilspellings

“And if you needed any more reasons than that to attend, we’ll also have CUGC t-shirts, lapel pins and laptop stickers for anyone who has joined/joins CUGC on the day who didn’t get one at Synergy.”

These events are free and independent thanks to the sponsorship of the partners – thanks to eG Innovations, fslogix, Pernixdata and Liquidware Labs!
