It’s not often that I share my agenda in such a public forum as my blog.  But, for the week of March 16 while at NVIDIA’s Graphical Technology Conference (GTC) I feel compelled to make an exception. I am super excited about the sessions that I have hand picked out of the catalog for this year’s conference. I hope that you are too.

S5872 Worlds Collide

The week gets off to a great start on Tuesday at 16:00 in room LL20C with Citrix’s very own Gunnar Berger. Gunnar will be leading his vGPU discussion titled “Worlds Collide: What happens when VDI meets GPU? .” Gunnar is not only the CTO for Desktop and Apps at Citrix, he is an industry veteran in desktop virtualization and end user computing. I have heard rumors that Gunnar will have a special guest on stage to discuss the value of vGPU and this person’s own deployment experience. I wonder who it will be?

S5393 – Evolution of an NVIDIA GRID Deployment

Next on my list is a session on Wednesday at 15:00, again in room LL20C by Citrix Sales Engineer and vGPU expert, Ronald Grass. This is one of those sessions where it is not made up of theories and “what ifs.” The session pulls experiences from real world engagements. You will hear direct from the field and the subject matter experts about designing and proofing out the transition from local workstation deployments to a centralized and remote solution with Citrix XenDesktop and NVIDIA GRID. Joining Ronald on stage will be NVIDIA’s own GRID Architect, Erik Bohnhorst. Together these two veterans will clearly show the strength of the joint Citrix and NVIDIA solution.

S5390 – Citrix HDX 3D Virtualization: Six Years of Remoting 3D Apps

Jumping ahead to Friday, I will be sure to be back in room LL20C at 10:00 AM for my good friends Derek Thorslund and Mayunk Jain’s session about securing intellectual property while enabling remote access over WAN connections. Derek and Mayunk are going to bring this theater through the evolution of GPU in virtualized environments.  They plan to show what is yet to come. Here, they will be digging deep into some of the countless customer success stories using these joint solutions. Reserve your seats now, Derek is a “Highly Rated Speaker.”

S5377 – Running SAP 3D Visual Enterprise

And just like the thin wafer capping off the perfect meal, on Friday at 13:00 in room LL20D, two titans of SAP and Citrix technology will join forces to cover the advancements of this joint collaboration. Roland Wartenberg, Director of SAP Alliance for Citrix will be joined by David Cruickshank of SAP’s Co-Innovation Labs. Together, these two speakers will bring their decades of experience in SAP, Graphics and Virtualization to discuss some of the results from a recent performance and sizing exercise running SAP 3D visual Enterprise using Citrix XenDesktop and NVIDIA GRID vGPU. Get the answers to your performance and scaling questions direct from the sources.

There are countless other session running at GTC that are well worth your investment of time. Simply go to the GTC catalog and search the keyword “Citrix”.

Whatever you do, don’t forget to stop by the Citrix booth where my fellow Citrix Colleagues and I will be to dazzle you with vGPU’s Flexibility, Experience and Security on Citrix solutions.
