Thanks to all of you who were able to make it out to Las Vegas for Citrix Summit 2015. I was delighted to see so many familiar faces and have the chance to catch up with you about your successes in 2014—and to talk about moving the needle on sales this year.

I’ve heard some positive feedback on a number of great Summit features. Here’s a recap of the highlights:

New at Summit Las Vegas

Summit focused on new programs designed to deliver immediate returns. Social media and PR pros offered one-on-one consultations, helping partners with everything from their personal LinkedIn profiles to corporate PR strategy and company Facebook pages. The Citrix Customer Experience Booth offered practical guidance on using CX as a competitive differentiator in sales pitches. And I hope you were able to check out the Solutions Demo Sandbox, a special area in Summit Park for self-guided deep dives into new Citrix technology. Partners also received insights into the strengths and competitive differentiators of Citrix solutions—and how to respond to specific customer challenges.

Product Highlights from a Collaborative Partner and Sales Event

From breakout sessions to Instructor-led Learning Labs, Summit attendees got hands on with new products including Citrix XenMobile 10 and Citrix Workspace Cloud, learning tips on competitive positioning and selling as well as best practices for giving effective product demonstrations. Other highlights included the announcements of Citrix WorkspacePod™ powered by HP and a Women in Technology Luncheon with New York Times bestselling author Amy Jo Martin—along with a memorable party at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Partner Specializations Rollout

Citrix announced a new Solution Advisor program with Citrix Specializations as part of an innovative multi-year Partner Growth Plan with a strategic roadmap to also energize field and partner collaboration, strengthen partner enablement and deliver robust marketing demand generation. This is very exciting as specializations add a new dimension to the Citrix portfolio by recognizing and rewarding partners that master a technical competency in one or more categories under the Mobile Workspaces solution umbrella.

Download Presentations and Watch Sessions on Demand

If you weren’t able to join us, it isn’t too late to experience some of the highlights from Summit: speaker presentations are now available for download from Citrix SalesIQ, and you can watch both the Vision and Tech Talks keynotes on demand. I recommend watching these for a great overview of the Citrix roadmap, as well as a glimpse at some of the products and features that will be rolling out to support Citrix Workspace Cloud. Group leaders also spelled out why Citrix solutions are winning their market categories, and how to frame discussions with customers around these advantages.

Then, on February 2, you’ll be able to watch the most popular Summit sessions on demand, also in Citrix SalesIQ. Recorded sessions will give you the background you need to plan deals and gather competitive positioning points in advance of a big sales call. I encourage you to take advantage of these and all the great resources in Citrix SalesIQ.

You can also visit the Summit website for a recap of Summit 2015, including Daily Digests of each day’s noteworthy events.

We spend a lot of time planning programs that will have a strong impact on your sales and profitability—I hope this year’s event continues to pay dividends for you throughout the year. Please save the date for Citrix Summit 2016, which will be back in Las Vegas January 11–12 at the MGM Grand with more keynotes, demos, training and networking to enhance your Citrix knowledge and drive your success.
