Receiver for Android 3.6, just released to the Android Market, makes using Citrix virtualized applications and desktops faster and easier than ever. This update adds official support for the new Android 5.0 (Lollipop) but does deprecate support for the older Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread.
It also adds a whole lot more:
Multi-touch gesture support
Multi-touch mode can be enabled using the in-session menu. Users can toggle between Multi-touch mode, Pan mode and Scroll mode. Multi-touch gesture support requires XenApp 7 or XenDesktop 7 and is supported on Windows 8 and Windows 2012 R2 virtualized apps and desktops only.
Enhanced graphics performance
The frame rate and decoding rate of Receiver for Android has been approximately doubled.
External keyboard and mouse support
Receiver for Android behavior adapts when external keyboards and mice are connected to the device, such as not popping up the soft keyboard and enabling right-click.
Improved Session Reliability and Roaming
And to improve security, this version disables the use of SSLv3 protocol in favor of the more secure Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0. See http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX200238 for details on why it’s a good idea to make sure that your environment uses TLS 1.0.
See Citrix eDocs for detailed configuration guidelines.
We think this is the best ever Receiver for your Android phone, tablet, or all-in-one. Update today and let us know how it is working for you.
