In CPSM there are many user fields that are by enabled by default. The adding of additional fields can be achieved by following the steps below.

Enable Customer List

There is a feature that is included in the product for adding additional properties however it is not yet supported, so it is hidden by default.

  1. In CPSM go to Configuration > Security > Security roles
  2. Find and Expand “Service Provider Administrator” role
  3. Under “Role Permissions”, click the Menus tab.
  4. Expand Customers > Configuration > Customer List
  5. Tick “Customer List” and “Display Properties”
  6. Save
  7. Log out and login.

Note: It is strongly recommended that you only provide access to this feature to the Service Provider administrator, as if it is used incorrectly it can cause provisioning to fail.

Adding an additional user field.

Before adding a property to a user, it is advised to get the correct spelling of the AD Attribute. In this example we will be adding the employeeID AD Attribute.

  1. In CPSM go to Customers > Configuration > Customer  Lister > Display Properties
  2. Click “New Property”
  3. Populate the fields as you need using the following guidelines.

Results and review

It is recommend to test user provisioning after adding a property.

  1. In CPSM go to Users > Users
  2. Click on a user
  3. Click “Edit User”
  4. Click “Additional User Properties”
  5. The new field will appear as below.
  6. Populate the field and provision.
  7. On a Domain controller, Open AD Users and Computers
  8. Click View and tick Advanced Features
  9. Find the userClick Attribute Editor and find the attribute.

Additional information.

You can also add properties to customers, these properties would be applied to the Customer OU.

  1. In CPSM go to Customers > Configuration > Customer  Lister > Display Properties
  2. Change List Filter to “Customers”
