Citrix has been accepted into the VCE Technology Alliance Partner Program and Citrix NetScaler has been certified as VCE Vblock Ready, assuring channel partners that VCE will support the channel partner recommending NetScaler for Vblock Systems environments.

VCE and Citrix have partnered to bring NetScaler with Citrix TriScale™ technology—the leading application delivery controller—to Vblock™ Systems customers. Using NetScaler, customers can maximize the performance and availability of applications and data in their cloud environments. The combination of VCE Vblock Systems and NetScaler solutions provide both the value of the pre-packaged and converged infrastructure of Vblock Systems and the advanced application delivery controller technologies inherent in NetScaler solutions.

Citrix signed the VCE Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program agreement in September 2013, and as a first step in the partnership, NetScaler has completed  Vblock Ready certification. The certification testing focused on the primary functionality of NetScaler, with particular attention paid to its world-class load balancing, high availability/failover and high-speed content filtering capabilities.  Direct integration of NetScaler with Vblock Systems via the vCenter API was also validated.

VCE developed the Vblock Ready™certification to assure channel partners and customers that solutions from VCE technology partners have been tested and certified on Vblock Systems and that VCE will support the decision to implement those solutions. The certification demonstrates that a partner solution has met all entrance, integration and interoperability criteria and is technically ready for use with Vblock Systems.
