Following an upgrade to XenApp Platinum Edition to enable platinum features such as PVS, XenDesktop 7 may not be able to use the licenses as expected. This is due to an issue where Studio fails to discover XenApp Platinum licenses.

To use XenApp Platinum licenses with XenDesktop 7, use the PowerShell SDK to change the licensing settings. To do this:

  1. Start a shell in PowerShell 3.0. For more information, see About the XenDesktop SDK.
  2. Run the Set-ConfigSite cmdlet to change the licensing settings. Set the product code to ‘MPS’, the edition to ‘PLT’ and the licensing model to ‘Concurrent’:

Set-ConfigSite -ProductEdition PLT -ProductCode MPS -LicensingModel Concurrent
