On October 2, 3 and 4, I will be presenting at the three-city vCommunity event in Hartford Connecticut, New York City and Philadelphia  along with Robert Morris, Doug Brown, Tim Mangan and Nicki Wruck.  This is awesome company and I am privileged to be a part.

vCommunity is not a “Citrix” event, though we are a sponsor.

Tim Mangan was the original architect for Softricity and is a recognized luminary on App-V.   Doug Brown is a well known blogger in virtualization space and traveling all the way from Germany, Citrix CTP Nicki Wruck who is the founder of the ICE conferences.

The events are being held at Microsoft facilities (Thank you!) and are presented at no cost to the audience, courtesy of:

  • Advantec, CA, Citrix, Immidio,  Microsoft, and NVIDIA

Space is very limited and walk-up attendees will not be accepted, so register early.   Here is a registration link.

The planned presentation format is somewhat unscripted though it is expected that Mobility and BYOD will be major items along with mobile device management, “the cloud” and hosted services.

I will arrive prepared to talk about Payment Card Industry Certification (PCI), HIPAA, Common Criteria and FIPS-140.  What does it take to implement a compliant data processing system?   How does virtualization assist and how does mobility participate in a secure world?

I send a big thanks to Robert Morris of AGSI for putting this event together and I look forward to seeing you in person.

  • Oct 2 (Wed) – Hartford
