This week at Intel Developer Forum 13 in San Francisco, Citrix will be partnering with Intel to showcase new technology solutions. Citrix will also participate in the Intel Embracing Consumerization Panel, an executive discussion featuring technology visionaries from leading companies to discuss the business impact and opportunity from the accelerating consumerization of IT trend.
Citrix continues to deliver on the promise of highly secure client virtualization solutions for enterprises while ensuring a rich and productive user experience by integrating and optimizing Intel’s leading technologies across our cloud, virtualization and mobility offerings.
Through our ongoing partnership with Intel to optimize XenClient, the market leading client virtualization solution, Citrix will be showing both XenClient Enterprise and XenClient XT on new “Haswell” 4th generation Intel Core vPro processors. Additionally, the Intel Data Center Pavilion will feature Citrix XenServer running with Intel Trusted Execution Technology (TXT) on both market leading cloud orchestration platforms — Citrix CloudPlatform powered by Apache CloudStack and OpenStack.
At the Intel Business Client Zone, Citrix will feature XenClient Enterprise and XenClient XT optimized with Intel vPro Technology. XenClient Enterprise extends the performance, flexibility, and security of desktop virtualization to mobile users on laptops, Ultrabook™ devices, 2 in 1 devices and Core-based tablets to allow users to work from anywhere — even when they have an intermittent or inconsistent network.
Citrix will also showcase XenClient XT running on 4th Generation Intel Core vPro platforms. Developed in conjunction with Intel and the Air Force Research Labs (AFRL), XenClient XT is a hardened Type-1 hypervisor which maximizes performance and security for highly regulated industries such as the public sector, energy and financial services. Citrix will also demo XenClient XT enabling nested virtualization by running two VMM hosts on a single Haswell platform.
XenServer will be shown integrated with Intel TXT technology via Intel Mt. Wilson remote attestation server on both CloudPlatform and OpenStack, ensuring that any mission-critical workload will be safe, in compliance, and running on trusted hosts. XenServer with Intel TXT allows for enterprises to virtualize servers, manage storage and move highly sensitive workloads to the cloud, allowing organizations to take full advantage of the benefits of the cloud in even the most secure and highly regulated environments.
On Wednesday afternoon, Ahmed Sallam, CTO Citrix Client Virtualization Group, will participate in the Intel Embracing Consumerization Panel with technology leaders from Intel, McAfee and Accenture to discuss Consumerization of IT trends and best practices. We invite partners and enterprise customers in the Bay Area this week to visit #IDF13 and experience a cross-section of compelling Citrix technology solutions across a variety of Intel-based platforms.
