As a follow-up to the recent release of CloudPortal Services Manager v11 the engineering team have produced a collection of supporting videos and blog posts that detail many of the new additions and improvements in this release.
For convenience we have listed the new material below.
A video series has been produced that describes how service provider administrators can enable workflow approval in an environment and train customer administrators to configure users that should approve changes. The videos also demonstrate how product designers can create tailored approval email notifications and provide a starting guide for developers who want to extend and customize the standard workflow approval capabilities.
A simplified install approach was delivered in CloudPortal Services Manager v11 that enables service providers to painlessly install CPSM components into their environments. The new installers have also been designed to walk customers through the v10 to v11 upgrade process with a dramatically improved user experience.
The videos below demonstrate these new install processes.
Microsoft SCVMM 2012 SP1
The virtual machine service has added support for Microsoft SCVMM 2012 SP1 and Microsoft Hyper-V on Windows 2012.
The data warehouse service has been improved to enrich the data represented on many of the platform and service reports. These enhancements mean that service providers now have greater flexibility for how service and plan usage data appears in billing reports.
Software Development Kit
A new integration SDK was release in v11 to simplify service integrations into the platform. This release is the first release where a designated library was split off from the platform to form a new integration SDK. This integration SDK is called CloudPortal Services Manager Integration SDK Version 1.
The Cortex API reference has also been updated.
