It’s not even a quarter and NetScaler Insight Center has grown from Web Insight to HDX Insight. With every release Insight team puts in efforts and works to bring Insight one step ahead of the game. A month back we had released HDX Insight providing full blown visibility for XenApp/XenDesktop use cases across HDX Users, Applications and Desktops. This blog will touch upon the features introduced in NetScaler Insight Center 10.1 (Build 118.7) Maintenance Release.

VMware ESX Support

With this Maintenance Release we bring the Insight on VMware ESX catering to all the VMware centric deployments. Now administrators will be able to install Insight Center on VMware ESX Hypervisor and see all the visibility reports . Below are the system requirements to install Insight Center on ESX VM.

• VCPU – 2 or more

• RAM – 3 GB or more

• Storage Space – 120 GB and more

Syslog based Logging System

In previous releases NetScaler Insight Center had an internal logging system providing user audit and process level details. But with this release Insight Center has complete Syslog based logging system wherein Insight will be generating Syslogs across audit and process level activities. All these logs will be available on the UI under System tab of the Configuration Page.

Forward Syslogs to External Syslog Server

Along with System log details available on the UI, the user will now be able to forward these logs to an External Syslog Server. With this, Insight provides a complete package of native logging Syslog System with a support of extending it to the external servers.

Insight provides powerful data over its metrics system, ridding on its visibility engine. Syslog engine will empower Insight Center and open doors to a whole new set of features untapped to explore.
