Thank you! Due to the high level of interest that Synergy attendees have expressed in learning about the enhancements to our HDX technologies in the upcoming Excalibur release of Project Avalon, my Synergy session SYN322  has been doubled in length! After my initial anxiety subsided, I realized this is good news because it allows me to include more topics on the agenda, show more video/demos and invite some of my colleagues to share the podium with me.

My theme this year is “Excalibur: reinventing HDX for mobile, 3D graphics and beyond” and I will be joined by Robin Manke-Cassidy (Director, Product Management, Mobile Receivers), Steve Parry (Sr. Director, Product Development, Citrix Labs) and Kalyan Valicherla (Director, Product Development, HDX). You may have already read my blog post Reinventing HDX Adaptive Display for mobile workers, so you’ve probably already guessed that Mobility is one of our key HDX themes in Excalibur. Here’s what we have on the agenda for SYN322:

  • Multimedia streaming and the HDX SuperCodec
  • Seamless local app access
  • Softphones and Unified Communications, including Microsoft Lync and Cisco Jabber
  • Graphics, from the knowledge worker to the power user to the design engineer
  • HDX System-on-Chip
  • Delivering Windows apps to mobile devices

And for a deep dive on “Best practices for virtualizing 3D professional graphics apps”, don’t miss SYN214 by George Prado (Lead Enterprise Architect, Citrix Consulting Services) and Steve Harpster of NVIDIA (Solutions Architect).

See you in Anaheim!
