One the way to work this morning, I saw a mobile billboard, with an AT&T ad: “We’ve reduced dropped calls 35% in SF.” Clearly, dropped calls are a measurement of call quality. However, as smartphone penetration grows (US Q2 2012 smartphone penetration was over 50%)  mobile data quality will increase in importance.
