Pew Research survey results show that 62% of  smartphone and 64% tablet owners use these mobile devices to check news. Additionally, the study found that roughly 15% click on ads when getting news on one of the mobile devices and about 7% actually buy something, which are higher click-through rates than on browser-based display ads which are less than 1%.

Further proof that mobility is the future,  Comscore reports that mobile devices account for 1/8 internet page views and ABI research predicts by 2015 there will 155 million mobile video users from 2.4 million in 2010.
