More proof that subscribers with a faster connection and lower latency consume more data: Android smartphone subscribers on LTE networks in the U.S. use more data from over-the-top applications such as Netflix and Hulu than their non-LTE counterparts.

Similar trends are noted for 2G to 3G, and 3G to LTE by other sources. According to Light Reading 3G users in India use 4x more data than 2G users, and according to NSN (as reported by GSMA – subscription required) South Korean LTE subscribers use 3x more data than 3G subscribers.
