Back in December 2011, we released CloudPortal Services Manager v10 and along with it we announced support for provisioning Microsoft Enterprise Lync Server 2010. Although CloudPortal Services Manager brings basic multi-tenancy to Enterprise Lync separating users from one tenant to another, Microsoft recommends using Lync Server 2010 Multi-Tenant Pack for Hosting to provide full isolation among your tenants (think features like SIP security boundary). Today we are glad to announce the release of a new service module for CloudPortal Services Manager v10 that enables provisioning of the Lync Multi-Tenant Hosting Pack.
Once you build out your Lync deployment, you can add this new service to your existing CloudPortal Services Manager v10 deployment and be able to start provisioning Lync to your resellers and customers. And since most Lync configuration is done via policies, CloudPortal makes it easy to provision those policies to your end users based on the type of service being offered. And you can use CloudPortal to provision enterprise voice to customers, resellers and provision Line URIs to users.
Check out the Microsoft Lync Hosting Pack deployment guide to better understand the hosting pack and how it differs from Enterprise Lync. Whether you chose Enterprise Lync or Lync Hosting pack, we are glad to say that we now have support for both these Lync deployments. And here are some great documents to get you started
