Citrix is serious about XenClient and the local virtual desktop market. It will be a major focus at Citrix Synergy 2012. You can read all about the XenClient demos, breakout sessions and labs here.
Last year Citrix created a business unit to focus exclusively on XenClient. Citrix veteran Mitch Parker is leading the Client Virtualization business unit as its general manager. You can meet Mitch at his Citrix Synergy session SYN141, Simplify management and security of mobile Ultrabooks and laptops with XenClient, on May 9th, 2012 at 8:00 am PT at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, CA.
Mitch will be co-presenting with Mr. John Woodruff from the Air Force Research Labs (AFRL). John Woodruff manages several software development efforts including the SecureView project to support Top-secret/SCI security accreditation, information assurance, and network management requirements for the Department of Defense intelligence community. SecureView is powered by the ultra-high security version of XenClient – XenClient XT. We are honored to have Mr. Woodruff at Synergy. You can read more about Mitch and John’s breakout session here.
The new Client Virtualization business unit and the strong XenClient presence at Citrix Synergy are just part of the story. Better laptop management and high security are key focus areas for the XenClient team. You’ll not only hear more about these topics at Mitch & John’s session, you will also see additional communications in this area coming soon. We’ve hired security expert, Ahmed Sallam, from McAfee to further develop our security strategy. We are thrilled to have Mr. Sallam on the team.
So, join us at Citrix Synergy May 9th– May 11th in San Francisco at the Moscone Convention Center. There are only 16 more days to sign up for the show so register for Citrix Synergy today!
