Our Citrix NetScaler product group has been interviewing some potential candidates and got to interview some really good ones lately.  Some that came in to interview are women with engineering background such as myself, which is still the minority in Silicon Valley.  I asked why they wanted to come to work for Citrix and one of them said it is because Citrix is rated in the top places to work as well as in the panels in some of the women networking events in the valley such as GeekGirl, Society of Women Engineers, etc.   I found that very positive for Citrix and decided to share the Women Informal Networking (WIN) event that was done yesterday at the Citrix campus.  Some of the attendees of this event included folks from Charles Schwab, Google, Intel, etc.  This event beneficiary was Wardrobe for Opportunity and ended with McMullen Boutique fashion show with Citrix models (both men and women) dressed in work-friendly fashion.
This event was a blast!   We got to meet some women entrepreneurs, hear their ideas and tips for success as well as network with executives from other companies.  Both men and women attended the event and really made the learning and networking a fun and memorable experience!
Here some pics from the event and more details on the program with great coordination by WIN team at Citrix – led by Iram Mirza who also worked with other WIN team leads from other companies for this event.
