Citrix Revises Americas Advisor Rewards Program for Enterprise Accounts

As the demand for desktop virtualization, networking and cloud solutions continues to grow, building a successful model to support our enterprise customers has been a key focus.  Through our customer feedback process, we discovered that the majority of our enterprise accounts would feel best served by a Citrix-led account management approach, which provides them with direct access to and response from our sales teams.

Effective January 1, 2012, Citrix will change the Americas Advisor Rewards program for approximately 1,100 identified large accounts in order to lead the sales efforts for customers who are implementing significant IT transformation across their businesses.

This change does not restrict our partners from selling to customers or providing services to an account.  But, for these specific High Touch accounts, a partner must have a formal invitation and inclusion in the Citrix developed account plan to be eligible to receive their Advisor Rewards.  Accounts not included on the High Touch list remain unaffected, and partners can earn Advisor Rewards as usual.

We have full confidence in our partners’ ability to sell and provide services to our customers; this change allows us to provide additional account leadership to keep our end-customers satisfied with the full array of Citrix solutions.

All partners have been informed, having first discussed the program changes in October with partners that would be most affected.  We believe that our partners fundamentally understand why we’re making these changes, and they know that we remain fully committed to making them successful through a number of other programs that will reward them for product sales.  We realize that this will change how our partners earn a portion of their revenue, and we’re dedicated to helping them adapt their business models as we move from the PC to the Cloud era in 2012 and beyond.

The primary objective of the Citrix channel program will continue to center on offering innovative programs, solutions and resources that make Citrix the most profitable business for the channel community.  Every year we demonstrate our commitment to helping partners increase their revenue by introducing programs like Advisor Rewards, Trade-Up, CitrixTV and Citrix Academy. 2012 will be no exception.  We believe that our partner community will be excited about these new opportunities and will continue to be very successful.
