As many of you know, the authorised level of the Citrix Solution Advisor programme was recently removed. I wanted to take a moment to explain the reasoning behind this move, as ultimately the change has been designed to help our customers recognise partners who invest in Citrix skills and capability.

Since introducing authorised partners into the channel (those partners that didn’t have certification), partners that are more technically and commercially invested in Citrix faced an increasing challenge; they carried the sales overhead and created pipeline only for, in some instances, non-invested partners to close the deal at low margin.  

The main reason for removing the authorised level is to ensure that our invested partners continue to see the value of working with Citrix; at the same time we have been creating new initiatives such as the Elite Partner Academy to ensure that we can equip partners with industry-leading enterprise selling techniques. We fully encourage and will support any partner that was previously authorised to get certified and become a fully-fledged member of our channel. Similarly, we are always open to dialogue with our current and prospective partner community to ensure they are accommodated in our partner base.

For most corporate and enterprise customers, our skilled and invested channel is the best place to go. For small and medium businesses, we have channel and products which meet the needs of scalability, functionality and price, with a skilled channel to engage with.  For partners that are outside of our channel, or find themselves outside of the channel due to our programme changes but want to be a good trusted advisor to their customers and see the value of any of our solutions (flexibility, security, independence of platform) then we welcome you with open arms… come talk to us.
