Thomas Berger’s webinar last Thursday looked at many aspects of delivering Windows 7 desktops via a virtual desktop. Thomas spoke about conducting and initial assessment, planning how to handle applications, VDI implementation considerations and Windows 7 optimisations.
Here are links to a copy of the slide deck (PDF and PPS) and to the XenDesktop Design Handbook which contains a wealth of information and guidance for anyone planning a desktop virtualisation project.
Now, unfortunately gremlins hijacked my recording of the webinar so Thomas’s words of wisdom are now forever lost in time. But do not despair – I have laid my hands on a recording of a similar webinar (Windows 7 Migration and the Desktop Virtualisation Revolution) run by Dan Feller a few months back. If you missed Thomas on Thursday then listening to Dan should be almost as good:-)
Here’s the link to the recording.
