It’s hard to believe that our second pan-European conference, this time in glorious Barcelona, is fast approaching. Preparation is already well under way for what promises to be an even bigger and better European show than the massively successful – and sold-out- 2010 Synergy Berlin. This year we’re taking over the CCIB, overlooking the shimmering Mediterranean Sea, which we think is an ideal place to be inspired, learn and network.
While we’re still busy putting the finishing touches to the show program, I thought I’d give you a sneak preview of some of the topics and breakout sessions you can look forward to in October:
- The conference will feature more than 60 breakout sessions divided into two highly targeted tracks – desktop virtualisation, and datacentre and cloud. Presenters will include product and technical experts from Citrix and other leading industry vendors, as well as customers whose success stories illustrate how virtualisation, networking and cloud solutions can provide users with greater choice and freedom, and give IT teams more control over what really matters – apps and data!
- Highlights from the breakout sessions include the growingly-popular “from wow to how” approach that we introduced in Berlin. It guarantees to show you how to make desktop transformation a reality. Also featured is a session on the “next generation Receiver,” offering an overview of what the latest advances in Citrix Receiver can do for IT and for people
- As cloud computing rapidly gathers momentum, we’ll also be taking a detailed look at how to manage the enterprise like a cloud service provider with “Get your head in the cloud” sessions that offer tips on how to embrace the consumerisation of IT.
For a complete preview of the breakout sessions, take a look here.
As well as offering you the chance to experience the next generation of virtual computing technologies, including advances in virtualisation, cloud and networking, there is also the opportunity (if you have time!) to catch a glimpse of Barcelona, a city steeped in history.
Don’t forget, registration is already open and there are early bird specials if you register before July 15. I’ll have more news to share soon on some of the surprises planned for Synergy Barcelona, so stay tuned!
