Microsoft has officially announced the winners of the 2011 Partner of the Year Awards, naming Citrix as Microsoft’s Alliance Partner of the Year, Advanced Infrastructure. This award is a special recognition to acknowledge the Microsoft alliance partner that has shown leadership in driving Microsoft based Advanced Infrastructure solutions to enterprise customers, as well as demonstrated successful wins, infrastructure investments, joint marketing, readiness, training and breadth of engagement in the past year.

It’s a great honor to be recognized by Microsoft for the joint work we’ve completed in the last 12 months including highly attended webinars and seminars, training sessions, and regional activities including collaborating to launch a joint worldwide Desktop Virtualization Day webcast. Citrix has shown consistent commitment to driving sales excellence across the joint solution stack while empowering success at all levels of the engagement.

In the past year, Citrix has invested in global field resources dedicated to the Microsoft relationship. Each major region has a team comprised of one Microsoft Relationship Manager and one MRM System Engineer. Their focus is to work with Microsoft sales to drive joint sales efforts and pipeline in the region.  Together, Citrix and Microsoft closed many joint wins resulting in millions of XenDesktop and XenApp licenses sold in CY2010, each driving the purchase of Microsoft Software Assurance \ Virtual Desktop Access license coverage or Remote Desktop Services CALS. Every Citrix sale is a Microsoft sale!

We wish to thank Microsoft for their support and partnership since 1989. We look forward to doing even greater things together in the months and years ahead!
