Wow! The HDX global engineering team has sure been busy in the year since our CEO, Mark Templeton, announced the company’s investment in HDX “Nitro” technologies at Synergy 2010. We all strongly believe that a high definition user experience is key to the success of desktop virtualization. Determined to not just maintain but further extend our leadership in this area, we’ve kept on aggressively innovating so that XenDesktop (including XenApp), the Citrix Receivers and Branch Repeater continue providing the best user experience in the industry. It isn’t enough just to deliver traditional office applications. Desktop virtualization must do an excellent job of delivering graphics, audio and video while supporting a full range of user devices and peripherals. With our new Nitro technologies, we’re extending desktop virtualization to more and more use cases. These remarkable advances improve the quality of access over challenging network conditions while further reducing TCO with higher WAN link scalability and easier configuration and management.
At this year’s Synergy conference in San Francisco, we unveiled new Tech Preview releases of XenDesktop, XenApp and the Citrix Receivers that are chock-full of HDX enhancements. These Tech Preview releases are available to Citrix partners and customers under active Subscription Advantage at citrix.com/techpreview. I spoke about these new HDX technologies last month at Synergy 2011 together with Nitin Desai, one of the managers in our R&D team who has played a major role in conceiving and developing these innovations. I invite you to view the video recording of our seminar on Citrix TV.
