I start publishing another classic presentation “Selected Citrix Tools” to comment on changes since I wrote and presented all these tools. I also present some new background material and explanations, tool internals and even some source code snippets. First we start with crash dump analysis tools, then move to GUI troubleshooting including window messaging and clipboard copy/paste, then we discuss printing troubleshooting and testing tools, and finally, miscellanea. Stay tuned.

In the first 2 parts we talk about a useful tool to verify that your applications and an operating system cooperate to save process memory dumps when a crash happens.

Comment: TestDefaultDebugger is now version 2.0 and has been renamed to TestWER (Test Windows Error Reporting) to reflect the shift from default debuggers such as Dr. Watson and NTSD in Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 to WER system in Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. Before that, an additional .NET executable had been added to the package to test CLR exceptions. Please refer to these articles:
