I previously posted the steps to prepare your own XenApp server in the Cloud. Then I listed the XenApp AMI’s that are available for free. Having just gone through the exercise of rebuilding them using XenApp 6.0 on Windows Server 2008 R2, I thought it only made sense to publish the complete list of Citrix AMI’s in Amazon EC2 that are available for your free use. Whether you are located in the Americas, Europe or Asia Pacific, Amazon has a platform for you, and Citrix has a XenApp Application Delivery Cloud waiting your use.
These AMI’s are used in the Citrix Open Cloud blueprints, which are designed to give cloud providers a complete set of service delivery infrastructure building blocks for hosting, managing and delivering cloud-based computing services using XenApp. The C3 blueprints include reference architectures that combine the individual capabilities of several Citrix product lines to offer a powerful, dynamic, secure and highly available service-based infrastructure ideally suited to large-scale, on-demand delivery of both IT infrastructure and application services.
