Citrix Support is focused on ensuring Customer and Partner satisfaction with the support of our products. One of our initiatives is to increase the ability of our Partners and Customers to leverage self-service avenues for finding answers and resolving problems. A key area that the Support teams focus on is development of troubleshooting and health checking tools.
Following on from my recent posts about the Citrix Printing Tool, Citrix Quick Launch Tool, Citrix Logoff Sessions Tool, MedEvac Tool and XDPing another excellent tool from Citrix Support is SsOnExpert.
The SsOnExpert tool is a command-line based application that automates the process of checking common causes of Single Sign On issues in XenApp environments. The tool can be used to verify configuration settings both from the console and remotely.
Depending on how the tool is run, and from where, the following checks and information can be displayed:
- Operating system, Client and XenApp version
- The running status of the Ssonsvr process
- The GINA chain (server only, prior to Windows 2008)
