So Synergy is drawing near, the time of year when Mark Templeton likes to take to the stage in front of thousands of customers, partners and industry experts, despite his shy retiring nature, and talk about all the cool new stuff that Citrix is bringing to market – and this year will be no exception.  Just look at the keynote speakers - does it get any higher profile – I mean – we really will have Sinbad on stage!  (Sorry Mr. Dell sir ).

Despite some of the recent speculation we’ve been working extremely hard behind the scenes driving the development of XenClient through the usual cycles before we turn it over to you guys – and demand for it has been high! To date we’ve completed 2 private beta programs with a third program currently under way with 200 customers and Citrix Technology Professionals, unfortunately this is just a fraction of the requests that we had but we’ll get it to the rest of you soon enough. In fact, the sharp eyed among you will have spotted a number of references to XenClient in the Synergy session list and hands on learning lab sessions (hint: for the not-so-sharp eyed among you check here and here - I won’t tell anyone). Will XenClient be making an appearance at Synergy?  Well let’s say there’s a reasonable chance otherwise we’ll have to rename the hands-on labs…

So if you want to be the first to take a look at the technology, make sure you’re at Synergy – that’s where you’re going to hear the latest on all things virtualization – from desktops to servers to clouds to apps to clients. Then sign up for the hands on classes, they’re free for Synergy attendees and you’ll be guided by Citrix experts in installing and using XenClient – without a product manual in sight. And for the XenClient classes you won’t need to bring your own laptop – in fact, we’ll give you one. In each session one lucky attendee will walk away with a brand new laptop with XenClient installed (or, you can just do it yourself!). But places are limited so sign up quickly.
