Today Citrix Essentials for Hyper-V version 5.5 was officially announced.

As part of the launch, Mark Nijmeijer (Engineering Manager for StorageLink Site Recovery) put together three short videos on the new Site Recovery feature. Site Recovery provides quick and easy DR setup, reliable configuration, non-disruptive testing and fast recovery fopr yopur Microsoft virtualization environment. In this first video, Mark describes how to use Site Recovery’s simple controls to setup protection of a Hyper-V virtual machine. He demonstrates how StorageLink, part of Citrix Essentials for Hyper-V, interfaces with array-based storage replication for remote disaster recovery configuration.

Next, Mark shows how to validate and test Hyper-V disaster recovery configurations using StorageLink Site Recovery.

Finally, Mark demonstrates how easy it is to initiate failover of Hyper-V virtual machines to a disaster recovery site in the event of a site-wide disruption using StorageLink Site Recovery.

Site Recovery as part of Citrix Essentials for Hyper-V 5.5 allows you to setup, test and manage disaster recovery services for your Microsoft virtualization environment.
