Transcript : So in front of me, I’ve got a Dell laptop that’s got Intel Centrino 2 processor with vPro technology. And it’s running a pre-release version of XenClient. In this demo, I wanted to show off some of the performance capabilities of the platform. See, working with Intel and using some of their latest vPro technology, we can actually give end users the same levels of performance and the same experience they’re used to with the regular laptop today, but with the flexibility of running multiple computing environments. So now let’s take a look at the great user experience we have with XenClient. So right now we’ve got a Vista personal virtual machine running on this screen. And, as I mentioned, we’re using some of the Intel vPro technology, and that allows us to give this virtual machine direct access to the graphics subsystem on the laptop. The end result, combined with our bare metal performance, is the ability to give the end user really high definition user experience. So, now I might have my personal applications like iTunes in here. I wanted to show you the ability to play high def video, so this is a high definition video playing here. And you can see very smooth, no choppiness at all. Not only do you get great 2D performance, but also 3D performance, as well. So, here’s a 3D application that renders and rotates and shadows this thing in real time. And you can see it’s not even taxing the system. Not only that, you can use all the 3D effects it comes with, the Vista and Win 7 operating systems. So you can have these windows, you know, rendered in 3D and actually switch between them. Not only that, those of you who like to spin the globe around in 3D, you can use applications like Google earth, as well. So, you know, you can see the earth spinning there in 3D, and we can start, you know, zooming in on something like the Eiffel Tower. So that gives you a feel for, you know, the performance capabilities of the system. So it gives the end users a really great user experience. It gives IT the control and the tools they need to more easily manage computing environments on the laptop. So thanks a lot for taking a look at some of the HDX high performance capabilities of the XenClient solution. We invite you to visit citrix.com/XenClient to learn lots more about this exciting new technology.

anonymous - This is pretty sweet

anonymous - So how do we know it isn't just Vista running on a native installation? ;-)<div><br></div><div>You don't really give much away...</div>

anonymous - Take a look at some of the other videos in the series (select the "Play All" link under "Series contained in this video") to see more functionality.  We don't show off everything in the product, but you get a taste of where it's headed.

anonymous - this is just a windows vista demo :-(<br>

anonymous - Just a windows vista demo...that's pretty funny! That's what makes this stuff so tough to sell. <br>
