Selected from Elite Group of Microsoft ISV Partners for Outstanding Customer Solution Delivery and Service
ORLANDO, Fla. » 10/13/2003 » Today at Citrix iForum 2003 ( http://www.citrixiforum.com ), Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS) announced that Microsoft Corp. has selected Citrix as its first ever Global Independent Software Vendor Partner of the Year for delivering the best customer solutions as a Microsoft Global Gold Certified Partner for Software Products. The award was presented during the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2003 in New Orleans on Thursday, October 9. On Tuesday, October 14, Rich Kaplan, corporate vice president of Microsofts Content Development and Delivery Group, will discuss the strategic relationship between the two companies in his keynote at Citrix iForum 2003 in Orlando, Fla.
The Global Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner award was created to recognize Microsofts 35 Global ISV Partners, which, in addition to Citrix, include such global leaders as Computer Associates, PeopleSoft, SAP, Siebel and Symantec. A panel of Microsoft judges evaluated the companies excellence and innovation in customer solution delivery and service, basing its choice of Citrix on criteria including product integration and alignment, field and sales engagement, corporate relationship development, and Citrixs engagement with Microsoft on a global basis.
Citrix and Microsoft have worked together for more than 14 years to extend the capabilities of Microsofts server operating platforms. The two companies co-developed the technology on which Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server is based and Citrix is one of a select few partners that are Global Gold Certified. Together, Citrix and Microsoft provide enterprise customers with simple, secure access to Microsoft .NET-connected applications, services and content from anywhere, using any access device over any network connection. Citrix® MetaFrame® Presentation Server, the foundation of the Citrix MetaFrame Access Suite, is certified to run on Windows® 2000 and 2003 Servers, and supports virtually any custom or commercially packaged Windows-based application. The combined solution creates a highly scalable, flexible, secure and manageable access infrastructure for the on-demand enterprise that can reduce computing costs and increase the utility of any information system.
This award recognizes the outstanding achievements that Citrix has accomplished as a Global ISV Partner of Microsoft and the positive feedback received from our worldwide field and product teams, said Sanjay Parthasarathy, corporate vice president, Platform Strategy and Partner Group, for Microsoft. Partners have always been critical to our success in providing solutions to our joint enterprise customers, so we are especially pleased to honor Citrix in this manner.
