ShutdownPlus® Rolling Restart™ controls Restarting or Power-cycling Citrix servers on recurring schedules without impacting users. Servers are organized into groups on a central console, with each group having multiple built-in restart patterns and timeframe options. This flexibility allows the software to match business needs, from the most basic installation of just a few servers to multi-continent enterprise installations.

Rolling Restart runs on physical servers or VMs on XenServer, ESXi, Hyper-V, or Oracle. It’s compatible with Citrix Provisioning Services. Fully scalable with the Rolling Restart Console, it’s built for any sized company. WM Software’s own patent-pending technology gives groups an array of restart or power-cycle choices (single queued, multiple queued, simultaneously, or individually) with users optionally notified, among dozens of other options. Groups can even be kept to restart within a certain timeframe. There are many internal pre-restart functions that simply can’t be done with a script - these are included in Rolling Restart as it avoids the inadequacies and inherent problems of scripts. Rolling Restart comes with full notifications and statistics, and it even has a built-in Group Sizing Wizard to calculate how many groups and servers per group to configure so all servers get restarted inside a recurring schedule.

Rolling Restart is professional, dedicated software, backed by a full support staff and development team. It runs on all versions of Windows Servers (2003 thru 2012 R2) and all versions of XenApp/XenDesktop.

  • Reliable restarting and it frees up my time

I’ve been doing Citrix admin work for about 12 years, and to restart servers I’ve either used the built-in restart, a scheduled batch file, or I manually did it, but I've been looking for a better way to do it. I downloaded a script, but there was no support and little customization. And I don’t have time to figure out scripts and modify them. So I found this program and all I have to say is wow! It was easy to setup and I have total control over server restarts from one spot. Now my customers don't even know their servers are being restarted, which took some getting used to, because I've always notified users before restarting them. I highly recommend this product to restart servers!
  • Managing Xenapp 6.5 Terminal Servers Made Easy

Xenapp 6.5, 2008 R2, App-v 5.0 SP2. I started out looking for a way to Keep a "Rolling Reboot" process in place for these Servers. So I found a Powershell script that I was able to modify and use. But it just didn't have all of the options that I was looking for. The ShutdownPlus RR software was just the answer. It allows me to logoff disconnected users, and ignore users on the console. This has been a reliable piece of software, and their support team was great in working with us to make it do just what we needed. Very happy here.
