The BH620 features better computing capability, mass data storage capability, and flexible scalability. The BH620s can be installed into the Tecal E6000 server shelf and are managed by the management module (MM) 610 in a centralized manner.
The BH620 supports the new-generation Intel Xeon processors of high performance. It can be configured with one or two Xeon 5500/5600 series processors with the power 95 W at most. Xeon 5500 series processors support the CPU frequency of 2.93 GHz at most, and L3 cache supports 8 MB at most. Xeon 5600 series processors support the CPU frequency of 2.93 GHz and the L3 cache supports 12 MB at most.
The BH620 uses two QuickPath buses for interconnection between processors and system components. Each bus provides a transmission rate of up to 6.4 GT/s.The BH620 provides an instruction cache of 32 KB and a data cache of 32 KB, and is configured with a shared L3 cache of 8 MB.The BH620 provides up to 12 DDR3 DIMM sockets, thus supporting the maximum memory of 96 GB. The BH620 supports the DDR3 memory bus frequency of 800 MHz, 1066 MHz, or 1333 MHz. The BH620 supports error checking and correcting (ECC).
