With support for RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10, and 50 PERC 5/i provides multiple protection options to suit a wide range of applications and non-critical data. It uses 3 Gbps SAS technology, which can deliver nearly 4x the bandwidth of 320 MBps SCSI.

PERC 5/i SAS connectors contain four SAS ports each for a total bandwidth of up to 12 Gbps, or 1200 MBps per connector. It also includes an Intel¨ IOP333 processor with XScale® Microarchitecture,  256 MB of DDR2 memory for read and write cache. It has been tested and validated on Dell systems to ensure it will work with your computer. It is supported by Dell Technical Support when used with a Dell system.
