PowerVault MD1000 expansion array leverages higher capacity 3.5" drives and supports mixing both SAS and SATA drives within a single enclosure making it ideal for high-capacity applications. The modular design enables simple expansion of existing PowerVault MD3000 and MD3000i external controller based arrays by daisy chaining 2 additional MD1000 enclosures for a total of 45 drives. PowerVault MD1000 enables you to configure the specific combination of storage resources you need now, and add more storage volume later.
