A Workload is a container that can consist of a simple single server application or a more sophisticated distributed application consisting of many servers, tiers and components with complex interdependencies. AppStack automates the process of launching and managing these applications into a choice of clouds, and to do so without any complex coding, scripting or server template management – by dynamically capturing Workload definitions in a Configuration Repository. It tracks all changes made by users as they modify apps or configuration settings through the Portal.
App Marketplace with Self-Service Publishing
The App Marketplace is a platform for connecting application publishers and consumers, to enable usage-based applications. The Marketplace allows ISVs to package and publish apps using the self-service portal. For Enterprise developers, this allows them to avoid time-consuming and manual procurement, installation & configuration cycles. The Marketplace is driven by the AppStack point-n-click Portal.
Multi-Cloud Support with Total Portability
AppStack can provision into a wide choice of public and private cloud environments. By decoupling Workloads from their low-level cloud and OS dependencies, It enables app portability. It utilizes each orchestration layer's API to perform a real-time provisioning of the infrastructure. It is integrated with all public cloud services and private clouds orchestration capabilities including Citrix CloudPlatform.
