Pay-As-You-Grow enables NetScaler MPX customers to efficiently scale overall datacenter capacity to meet both planned and unplanned growth in application traffic. The easy application of a license key increases NetScaler MPX capacity up to 425 percent while preserving the value of the original appliance investment. NetScaler Pay-As-You-Grow licensing is well suited to both enterprise and cloud computing environments, enabling a fast and affordable path to expand infrastructures without incurring the heavy fixed costs and service interruptions of hardware upgrades.
Industry-leading SSL performance
Integrated state-of-the-art SSL encryption technology accelerates the delivery of secure web pages at multi-gigabit rates, supporting hundreds of thousands of SSL transactions per second (TPS). NetScaler MPX can secure any web application, even those not initially designed to support HTTPS encryption. As enterprises adapt to NIST guidelines calling for the use of 2048-bit SSL certificates, NetScaler MPX provides more than twice the SSL TPS of competitive alternatives to ensure that security does not degrade overall application performance.
No-limits networking
Patented Citrix nCore technology, a high performance, parallel-processing architecture, enables NetScaler MPX to utilize up to twelve CPU cores efficiently to increase throughput and scalability. Each CPU core runs a full packet processing engine, which is responsible for performing all load balancing acceleration, server offload and security tasks. This innovative architecture enables all NetScaler features to run at line rate, gigabit speeds. NetScaler MPX also runs the Citrix XenDesktop and Citrix XenApp web Interface as a fully integrated service.
Managing web applications with multiple gigabits of traffic
Most of the world's largest and highest traffic volume web sites are powered by NetScaler MPX. Ultra high performance web application security
The nCore-powered, ICSA-certified NetScaler application firewall, the industry's fastest, detects application-layer attacks at throughput rates in excess of 12 Gbps. Running on the MPX platform, the NetScaler Application Firewall inspects all bi-directional traffic and leverages a hybrid security model (positive and negative) to protect applications from all types of threats, including cross-site scripting and SQL injection.
Flex tenancy
Flex tenancy architectures manage application delivery using a two-tier approach: A flex tier at the network edge provides services common to all applications running in the datacenter, complemented by a tenant tier providing application-specific application delivery policies implemented in proximity to the application server. The performance and scalability of NetScaler MPX is ideally suited to support the "flex" tier, providing a multitude of services for all applications, including global server load balancing, SSL termination and distributed denial of service (DoS) protection.
NetScaler MPX is available in a variety of models to suit the most demanding IT and business needs. If additional throughput is needed, some models also support Burst Packs and Pay-as-You-Grow options to help protect your initial investment and make it easier to scale up your network with a simple software license upgrade.
