Citrix VP Appointed to Board of Directors for Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley

Citrix Systems today announced that Kim (Woodward) DeCarlis, vice president of corporate marketing, has been appointed to the board of directors for Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley (BGCSV). BGCSV helps more than 3,000 underserved children overcome boundaries and achieve their dreams by offering programs that inspire leaders and encourage an enlightened perspective on life.  Citrix joins other leading companies with representatives on the BGCSV board of directors, including AMD, Cisco, Deloitte Financial Services and JC Penney.  

“The dedication from executives in the local community to our board of directors has made a significant impact on achieving our mission to help young people realize their full potential,” said Dana Fraticelli, CEO of BGCSV.  “We welcome Kim’s marketing expertise as we embark on our recently-launched 2011-12 Annual Giving Campaign, which will generate unrestricted funding for our programs and ultimately help to empower today’s youth become tomorrow’s leaders.”

DeCarlis brings more than 20 years of marketing, sales, management and leadership experience to the BGCSV board.  As vice president of corporate marketing at Citrix, she oversees corporate messaging, global public and analyst relations, customer marketing, creative services, advertising, branding and positioning, social media, event marketing, internal communications and the company’s online presence.  DeCarlis is a graduate of Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering.  She is a frequent speaker at industry events on B2B marketing, C-level marketing engagement and workshifting and was recognized in 2010 by the Silicon Valley Business Journal as one of the “Silicon Valley Women of Influence.”  In addition to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley, DeCarlis serves on the board of directors for the Social Executive Council.

Citrix supports its local communities with a “work better, live better” approach to its corporate citizenship programs and offers employees two paid days per year to work with local community and charity groups.
