Produced by Penton Media’s Windows IT Pro, SQL Server Magazine, DevProConnections and SharePoint Pro

Santa Clara, Calif. - Citrix announced today that the recently released Citrix NetScaler® 10 won the competitive Best of TechEd 2012 award for networking products (see announcement blog). The Best of TechEd awards recognize Microsoft partners that offer innovative products and services for the industry. Winners were announced at the Microsoft TechEd North America 2012 conference in Orlando, Florida.

Citrix NetScaler 10 with TriScale is a breakthrough new release that brings the elasticity, simplicity and expandability of the cloud to both enterprise and carrier networks. With Citrix TriScale™ technology, NetScaler makes it easy for businesses of any size to scale their networks “up, in and out” with ease, just like the world’s largest public clouds. It also provides unparalleled support for popular Microsoft enterprise applications, as well as new NetScaler DataStream capabilities that bring better scale, performance and visibility to Microsoft SQL Server 2012 deployments.

“The judging panel – consisting of Windows IT Pro, SQL Server Pro, DevPro, and SharePoint Pro editors Michael Otey, Sean Deuby, Megan Keller, Jeff James, and Jason Bovberg – narrowed an impressive field of 260 submissions down to 46 finalists in 15 categories” said Jason Bovberg. “On the show floor, the team interviewed the finalists and evaluated the products to determine a final list of winners. As always, the three criteria for the judging process were strategic importance, competitive advantage, and value to customers. Show attendees also cast their votes to determine the winner of the prestigious Attendees’ Pick Award,” said Bovberg.

“Our industry-leading support for business critical applications and datacenter services is driving impressive market share gains for NetScaler in mainstream enterprise deployments. Winning Best of TechEd is yet another demonstration of the value that NetScaler brings to organizations that run their business on Microsoft technology,” said Sunil Potti, vice president and general manager, NetScaler product group at Citrix.
