Interoperable

Citrix enables the seamless movement of virtual machines between XenServer and Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V for maximum interoperability of server workloads. Standardization on the Microsoft Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) format creates a common runtime environment for virtualized servers, desktops and applications.

Microsoft validated

XenServer was the first server virtualization platform to be validated for both AMD and Intel 32-bit and 64-bit systems through Microsoft’s Server Virtualization Validated Program. Under this program, Microsoft offers cooperative technical support to customers running Windows Server and XenServer.
