The HDX RealTime Media Engine is currently available for Windows, Linux (x86) and Mac. The Windows COM DLL provided with the HDX RealTime SDK can be used with application software developed with MFC/.Net/SWT or as an ActiveX object inside Internet Explorer.

With the HDX RealTime SDK, developers can create VoIP and video calling applications or application features in far less time than using Citrix’s lower-level Virtual Channel SDK while achieving the scalability and performance benefits of an optimized architecture where media processing is offloaded from the Citrix server to the user device.
