Citrix System-on-Chip (SoC) initiative is designed to enable an entirely new generation of devices to deliver high-definition virtual apps and desktops at an unprecedented low cost using the company's market-leading HDX technology. This is a joint collaboration with SoC partners and OEM partners to deliver transformative products that are innovative and decrease total cost of acquisition along with Citrix's other cost slashing initiatives.

The initiative will expand the market for virtual apps and desktops beyond traditional computing devices like PCs, tablets and smartphones by enabling OEMs to create new high performance end point computing with low power consumption at a new lower price point. The result is more customer choice in low power and low cost devices that deliver a great user experience. Citrix sees this as a win-win situation all round for customers.
