SmartAccess improves productivity without compromising security by analyzing the access scenario and delivering the appropriate level of access, including control of actions such as print, save and edit. With Citrix SmartAccess, access becomes like a dimmer switch, where access is restricted based on the access scenario. Other SSL VPNs can only provide an on-off access capability.

• Action control – Provides a fine level of policy-based control over the actions users can take with applications, files, Web content, e-mail attachments and printing. Action Control policies are all based on user role, device, endpoint scans, location and access policies.
• Adaptive user access – Dynamically adjusts access based on the access scenario, including re-factoring the user interface, filtering applications and information, and enabling secure and reliable mobility. This delivers to users the best access experience for each access scenario.
• Access interface – Delivers a browser-based, single point of access to all available IT resources and services. Users can find all needed applications and data through a simple, intuitive, browser-based interface. The access interface also includes the Citrix XenApp Web Interface functionality.
• Browser-only access – Extends access by allowing users to access network file shares, Web e-mail and internal Web sites from devices that are locked down and that do not permit the downloading of any software.
• Mobile device awareness – Intelligently and automatically optimizes the delivery and display of IT resources on small devices such as PDAs, allowing mobile users to easily access internal resources such as e-mail, file shares and documents.
