Delivering Oracle Applications with Citrix XenDesktop & Citrix XenApp
Attend this webinar to learn how Citrix XenDesktop and Citrix XenApp provide Oracle users a variety of optimized implementation and delivery options for Oracle’s Siebel, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and E-Business Suite applications. With XenDesktop, a Windows XP or Vista® operating system is delivered as a virtual desktop running in the datacenter. Applications are delivered to XenDesktop virtual desktops using XenApp. To IT administrators, this means they no longer manage individual instances of the OS and all of the continual updates, patches and security fixes on each physical PC. Instead, they manage a single instance of the OS in the datacenter, which is combined with user settings and applications delivered by XenApp at the time of logon, to provide users with their own personalized desktop and applications delivered from the datacenter. Since the IT administrator has preconfigured the user’s desktop with the right Web browser, Java virtual machine and other components, the users are ensured.
Scaling XenApp Farms with Oracle Database
In this webinar you will learn about the integration of Citrix XenApp 5 and Oracle 11g RAC as it relates to the XenApp Independent Management Architecture (IMA) Data Store. The XenApp IMA Data Store is the central database of Farm-wide XenApp configuration data, enabling centralized management of multiple Application Delivery Controllers, as a single entity. As described later in this document Oracle 11g RAC provides not only the core database services but additional High Availability, Clustering and Fail-over capabilities ensuring enterprise class service and uptime for large scale XenApp environments.
